News of the Lions of Windsor 2019 event is spreading across the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and leading artists and designers from across the UK are submitting fabulous lion designs for decorating the pride.

Regional businesses, organisations and schools across the region are signing up to sponsor the life-size lion sculptures and school mini-lion cubs, which will be decorated to a design of their choice and displayed at their premises, attracting thousands to their doorstep over the three month public display, from August to October 2019.

The eye-catching lion and cub sculptures, designed by talented UK sculptor Alan Dun, are being produced at a fibreglass factory near Stonehenge. The first lion sponsor to join the pride was Ice Experience in Windsor, who recently met their lion and are now brainstorming over their sculpture’s design. Their lion will be displayed in the window of the Gallery at Ice on Windsor High Street and will draw thousands of lion fans to the gallery this summer/autumn.
