The celebrated British fashion designer Craig Wheatley, who designs for world leading Paris fashion houses such as Christian Lacroix and Luis Vuitton, traveled from Paris to Windsor to paint his lion for sponsor Strutt & Parker last month.
Craig painted his camouflage peony design lion at the Lions pop-up shop opposite Zara in Windsor Yards, where hundreds enjoyed watching the master designer in action!
Bringing colour and pattern into all aspects of life, Craig Wheatley is a British designer/illustrator who studied at the Royal College of Art in London. Based in Paris, he spent many years as Senior Surface Designer and Studio Director at Christian Lacroix before creating Studio Wheatley in 2014 where he continues to design his distinctive bold, colourful, energetic designs for international luxury fashion and lifestyle brands as well as products under his own label.
Craig has collaborated on design projects with fashion houses Louis Vuitton, Kookai, Schiaparelli, Isabel Marant, Berluti, Barbara Bui, Astrid Elisee, Fête Impériale and Interior design brands Designers Guild and Vista Alegre.
Strutt & Parker has a network of 67 offices across the UK, including Windsor. Craig’s magnificent lion sculpture will be displayed in the Windsor office window at 16 Park St, Windsor SL4 1LU, from August 10th – World Lion Day!
