About the lion Alfie is inspired by every stereotype of the young craft beer drinker, the lovable hipster we’ve all seen at our local taproom. He’s got a heart of gold really, and just wants to share the joys of brewing with everyone he meets – whether or not they want to hear it! He’s going to be greeting all our guests this summer and keeping guard over the bar, so we can’t wait for him to be officially part of the WeBrew family.”
About the sponsor We at Windsor & Eton Brewery pride ourselves on making a better glass of beer. Our focus for the last 9 years has always been on providing every guest, every pub we supply and every customer who drinks our brews with the best experience we can possibly give them. We jumped at the chance to have our own lion mascot to guard the fermenters – it’s an opportunity for us not only to play around with visual creativity (something we absolutely love), but also to support a brilliant cause alongside other businesses in our community.
About the artist Alfie was created lovingly by artist Martin Jessup, who has worked with the Brewery on numerous projects – although none quite like this! Martin is both a Commercial Artist and Fine Artist with over 25 years experience, based in London.
Where? Alfie has pride of place outside the Windsor & Eton Brewery, 1 Vansittart Estate, Windsor SL4 1SE. Viewing from 1000-2100 Mon-Sat and 1100-1900 on Sundays.
