Upendo
Sponsor: Bisham C of E Academy • Artist: Bisham C of E Academy
About the lion We chose to take part in this project as it linked in well with our whole school project on Africa and allowed the children to express their learning creatively. We have been inspired by the beautiful animals and landscapes that we found out about and used this to inspire our design, which includes a range of animal prints, landscapes and an African pattern.
About the sponsor Bisham Church of England Academy is part of the Ashley Hill Multi Academy Trust. We are based in the small village of Bisham, adjacent to the River Thames and next to our local Church. We benefit from a wonderful school environment with spacious grounds and beautiful surroundings. The School admits children from the age of four until they move on to secondary school at the age of eleven. We are very proud of the confident and caring children at Bisham C of E Academy who enjoy learning and facing new, exciting challenges. Our aim is to ensure each child receives the highest quality of teaching, enabling them to become independent learners, confident individuals. We want each child to be the very best that they can be.
