Lisa Todd
Creative Director
Award-winning Windsor interior designer Lisa Todd grew up in South Africa and now creates beautiful hand-painted, vibrant designs from her home near the Long Walk in Windsor. Lisa was Elle Decoration Print and Pattern Designer of the Year, won European Product Design Award 2017 and is featured in Christie’s Magazine as one of four pattern designers to watch globally. Lisa painted one of the Owls of Bath sculptures last year and aims to bring the success of the Bath sculpture trails to Windsor this year.
FRANCES SIDI
Event Administrator
Frances has spent the last 14 years organising clinical trials for cancer research. Prior to that she was a management consultant with one of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms in London and Sydney. Frances has now turned her excellent administrative talents to coordinating lion artists, sponsors and schools, taming spreadsheets, organising events, sculptures and the lion team! This is Frances' first sculpture trail and she can't wait to see the fabulous lion sculptures taking up residence across the Royal Borough.
Megan Witty
Event Consultant
Megan is a former wildlife producer/director for ITV and the BBC Natural History Unit. She is now organises a wide range of creative events, including city-wide sculpture trails Minerva's Owls of Bath, Swans of Wells 2012, Lions of Bath 2010 and King Bladud’s Pigs of Bath 2008, which raised over £430,000 for local charities. Megan also devises and produces a wide range of media-friendly events such as the annual '24 Hours in Bristol' photographic competition, charity auctions, media launches and overseas projects, which recently included setting up a dinosaur museum in Bethlehem!
David Lunniss & Barry Gee
Lion Logistics
David and Barry are in charge of lion logistics, from preparing their plinths to installation, maintenance and transportation. The Windsor based team look after the pride, keeping them well groomed and secure, managing distribution of Lion Trail maps, liaising with sponsors, artists and the public, and are now expert lion wranglers! Their ‘Lions in Transit’ van, kindly loaned to the project by the SMC Ford Transit Centre in Slough, is now a familiar sight across the region.
Philip Jansseune
Design
Philip is Creative Director of Walker/Jansseune, the Bath-based copyrighting and design agency that produced the brand, website, publications and printed souvenirs for the Owls of Bath 2018, Lions of Bath 2010 and Swans of Wells 2012 projects. In 2017, Philip was commissioned to produce a herd of decorated wooden rhinos by the Botswana Tourist Board for an international travel show in Berlin and he has now turned his skills to creating the logo, marketing publications and merchandising design for Lions of Windsor 2019.
Chris Dawson

Chris is Creative Director of tallhatDesign, a digital design studio with more than 25 years industry experience. With marketing and digital agency background, Chris specialises in web design services and content, branding, marketing and consultancy. Chris has worked with clients such as Orange, the BBC, HSBC and Guinness as well as many start-ups and SMEs, and created the Owls of Bath 2018 website.
Alan Dun
Lion Sculptor
Alan studied Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art, graduating with a BA (Hons) Fine Art. A former robotics specialist, Alan is now a versatile figurative and abstract sculptor based in Limpley Stoke near Bath. He has created sculptures for a number of public art sculpture trails including the Owls of Bath, King Bladud’s Pigs, Lions of Bath, Cirencester March Hares and Go Herdwick Sheep for the Lake District. Alan also curated the production of sporting sculptures to celebrate the 2012 London Olympics, created a 25ft silverback gorilla for Wookey Hole and produced a giant Lion sculpture displayed outside Fortnum & Masons for the Queen’s Jubilee Trust. www.alandun.co.uk

With only around 20,000 left in the wild, lions are now officially classified as ‘vulnerable’.
The name for a baby lion is a cub, whelp or lionet.
Lions run at a speed of up to 81km/h.
Lions used to be spread across most of Africa, but now are only found in sub-Saharan Africa. Lions have disappeared from 12 sub-Saharan countries in recent decades.
Lions hunt large animals such as zebra and wildebeest.
In the wild, lions live for an average of 12 years and up to 16 years. They live up to 25 years in captivity.
Lions are the most sociable of all big cats. They live in groups of 10-15 lions, known as prides.
Female lions do 85-90% of the hunting, whilst the males patrol the territory and protect the pride.
The Lion’s scientific name is Panthero Leo.
Although known as the ‘king of the jungle’, most lions live on open grasslands or savannah. Only one group of wild forest-dwelling lions remains in the Gir Forest in India.
